LEVEL 3 QUALIFICATIONS COURSES ARE SUITABLE FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE TAKEN A LEVEL 2 AND/OR HAVE BEEN WORKING IN THE INDUSTRY AND ARE LOOKING TO ACCREDIT THEIR SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE. THESE QUALIFICATIONS PROVIDE PROGRESSION OPPORTUNITIES FOR THOSE WITH INTENTIONS OF PROGRESSING INTO A SUPERVISORY OR MORE TECHNICAL ROLE OR ONTO ANOTHER LEVEL 3 QUALIFICATION.

LEVEL 3 AWARD IN PROVIDING INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE

COURSE OVERVIEW

ThIS qualification has been created primarily to provide a coherent programme of delivery for training centres providing the off-the-job training to apprentices registered on the Wellbeing and Holistic Therapist standard. The qualification translates the skills, knowledge and behaviours detailed in the apprenticeship standard into units and assessment criteria using the related NOS (national occupational standard). The qualification can also stand alone to equip learners with the necessary practical skills, knowledge and understanding to gain employment within the beauty, spa, wellness and holistic industry.

This qualification is designed for learners aged 16 years and older who have achieved a Level 2 qualification or apprenticeship in Beauty Therapy or have appropriate industry experience for direct entry at Level 3.

LEVEL 3 AWARD IN EMERGENCY FIRST AID AT WORK

COURSE OVERVIEW

This qualification will enable individuals to assess, recognise and manage a casualty with a range of injuries and symptoms. The aim is to develop the knowledge, understanding and practical skills required to carry out emergency first aid in the workplace, including scene surveys and primary surveys of casualties. These will include casualties that are unresponsive and breathing normally, choking, in shock, suffering from external bleeding and minor injuries.

MANDATORY

Understand the role and responsibilities of a First Aider.
Assess an incident.
Provide first aid by administrating CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation).
Provide first aid to a casualty with minor injury, who is choking, in shock or with external bleeding.

Upon successful completion of this qualification, you will become an approved emergency first aider. The Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) certificate is valid for three years.
